Pekin Rouen mix

I thought my Rouen/runner male fertilized my Rouen females eggs but I’m pretty sure it was my Pekin. They are pretty cool. Thought I’d share

You could have been right in the first place and the Runner is the drake. That looks like Runner pattern to me. It is incompletely dominate to wild type. Runner pattern prevents pigmentation to the neck, parts of the head, wings, and underbody. If the runner mix was heterozygous for the trait, half his offspring would show some of it. Although, it is impossible to know what was hidden under the white of the Pekin.

I dont know who is the papa ("It's a wise man who knows his father") But those are gorgeous ducks!

That is very cool to know! I really don’t know for sure what mixes my ducks are, mostly just guesses from what ducks and drakes were at the farm I got the eggs from. I love how they’ve all turned out!
