Pekin x Cayuga Ducklings

The horse shade has 2 separate areas with a fence in between and a door. I think at 1 time part of it used to be a dog kennel. It has a cement floor and chain link all around. But I wasn't going to put them together until the ducklings were big. That's how I introduce new chicks, I put them where they can see and interact with the other chickens, but the big chicks can't get to them. By the time I let them be together, they are used to each other.

The feed store said the breeder told them they were pekin X cayuga.
Good plan. and they maybe a mix only time will tell. Be sure to post pics as they grow and feather in, they sure are cute.

I will have to try and get a better picture. The majority of them are black with white across the neck. I few have white spots on the body and one had white streaks on the face.

I have a flock of pekin, cayuga, and rouen. Your ducklings look like a rouen/cayuga mix (simply based off the one with stripes across eyes-- which is most likely a female)... since cayugas have a beetle green hue across their dark feathers and rouen male have green heads... I'm very curious how your flock will look full-grown!

Just had this duckling hatch tonight. Only females we have are 2 Cayuga. The father possibilities are pekin, Cayuga, or khaki campbell BUT the only drake running with the ladies was the pekin. We had separated the drakes because they were overbreeding our girls. Thoughts? The bill and feet are pretty interesting.

Would love to see pix of those guys as adults? Also wondering for anyone with Cayuga Peking x ducks, what colour the females eggs are.. any/many grey eggs?
