So if there is a possibility that my little ducklings will grow up to want to be independent and live on the pond behind my home, should I want them to be fruitful and be good mommies? Or not? I'm looking at the comparison Chart on Metzer - https://www.metzerfarms.com/DuckBreedComparisonNew.cfm?affiliate=undef&CustID=25100409. and I'm wondering about whether the peking and jumbo peking would end up feeling lonely on a pond bc they don't raise their young? Am I reading this right?

Pekins and Jumbo Pekin are not know for there great mothering skills, they rarely go broody in my experience and if they do they'll end up crushing all the eggs on accident with their fat butts .
