So this thread has been kinda full of doom and gloom I feel like. I wanted to at least brighten it up a little bit, so I give you:

Their first full day out in the portable pen I built for them. I built it out of 2x2's and painted it with livestock safe barn paint. The wire is just basic chicken wire I stapled in using my air stapler. They've been happily running all around enjoying the brief bits of sunshine. I have a piece of plywood on the other side (not pictured) to act as a lean-to type shelter in case they need to get out of the sun or it rains or something.

They're having a grand old time, which makes me smile.

You guys can have all the grass you want :p. I have 1.3 acres and we've had so much rain I can't mow it. I had a guy come through with a brush hog to cut it because my lawn had literally turned into a hay field. It's still out of control because we've what feels like 2 weeks of rain.

When I say hay field, I mean my grass was over 3 ft tall...

Gosh we have been so dry up until this week. Finally we have gotten some rain maybe an inch in the week so far but we need so much more, grass hasn't even grown and we're very rocky too so it really dries out fast. Hopefully over the weekend more rain.
