Pekins? Or did we get duped?

I had been searching all over for some new ducklings after my kids were heartbroken that our Mallards had flown away. So I decided this time to go with some non-fliers.

We found 4 babies that were supposed to be Pekins, but now I'm not so sure. They're super fat & make very little noise, you really have to startle them just to hear a quack. I was thinking maybe Magpie or Ancona, or just a crossbreed? Any ideas?

Those are actually muscovies, and unfortunately, they do fly unless you clip their wings.

Yep, you have 4 fliers again, sorry. You will need to clip their wings, or they will do the same as your mallards. Muscovey make great pets, so don't be sad. Just take the time to clip and you'll be set!
