We have 3 female pekins who are all 1 1/2 years old. About the time of their last molt they all lost their wing feathers. It has been six months now and they all still have only tubes for wings. They have their own pond and forage all day year round (we are in South Florida) in their 30' X 50' run, at night they are put in their coop and fed Layena pellets so I am pretty sure it is not a diet issue. Other then the wing tubes, they appear very healthy (a little fat) and they are all laying good eggs daily.
We added 6 chickens to the group in April, sharing the same run and coop and the chickens are all feathered nicely. When we added the chicks we treated all of them (chickens and ducks) for parasites with ivomec pour on (we found no parasites but since the chickens were from another location, we thought it prudent to treat them all just in case), but since the "wing tube" issue already existed so I don't think it is related to that treatment.
I have done some research and cannot find any ailment that would manifest itself with only this symptom.
Any suggestions as to what might be going on?
