Pellets bring eggs?

Really they mature when they mature, and there's not much that can be done about that, and they lay when they are ready to lay.

The shape of the feed(mash/pellets/crumble) doesn't matter,
it's the nutritional content(mostly protein and calcium percentages) of the feed.

I have them on pellets that are from a local mill, compared to Purina brand.

Saying it's "compared to Purina brand" tells us nothing either.
So what are you feeding them...protein and calcium-wise?
That can affect their growing bodies and thus when they come into lay.
