Pellets?

Some say it won't hurt the roosters, others say it does and only give mixed flocks free-choice calcium. I know in the breeder barns they use separate feeding systems for the roosters. How they get the roosters to eat from one feed line while the hens eat from another is beyond me.

I looked around on the web today and found that they use wire grills on the hens' feed troughs to keep the roosters out. Their bigger heads and taller combs tend to exclude them.
