HA! That's exactly what I showed DH to get him to agree to go! Chickens just aren't worth it for him!So, they say there are two ways to a mans heart, and if the first hadn't worked, welll....

I am hoping to hatch the following breeds: Isbar, Cream legbar, Crele/Tolbunt polish, Basqu, Golden lakenvelder. and MAYBE Breda, and Welsummer. :) But since you can't count your chicks before they hatch, i don't know yet. But this is my plan.

OMG! If Wing doesn't snatch them all up..I may have to come home with a few

Hubby has seen the food list,  there's no way I could leave without him, he would follow..

So you'll have 2 vehicles to transport chicks home?

Guns?

And chicken and WAFFLES?
Completely off on a tangent here... On a Food channel show, they had a feature of a restaurant in Calif that specialized in Chicken & Waffles. It was FRIED CHICKEN! served with WAFFLES & SYRUP!

Blech!

And there are now commercials for flavored potato chips in chicken & waffle flavor, that mention the word syrup. Shudder!

Hi all! Thanks again for the thoughts/prayers! My mom was discharged today & is staying with me for a few days. Uggg.. long week...

I'm not sure about the age of chicks... I would guess any that have not been introduced to the rest of the flock yet. Any input would be appreciated as far as biosecurity goes..

I know of two campgrounds nearby. I will post more info on them tomorrow.

Wing - you are close enough to bring 1 car and make several trips back & forth to get everything home! : )

Good luck with mom...really.... love mom but not sure I could handle her staying with me....

biosecurity is different to everyone, ,,i would have folks with chicks set up the farthest away, think i would limit age of about 2 weeks..

hubby is a little worried about what i may bring home,,sooooooo....who's bringing the baby goats ???

Not to encouraged you wing, but I'm not far from galgo, the back way, or you, so I could help transport. Its probably only 15 or 20 minutes over there if I go out Cider Press Road. *hiding from your hubby*
