Question!! I have a bird with fermented feed in her beard and chest. A bath didn't work. Is there any reason I can't cut it out? It looks like poop hanging from a dog's behind. It is just on the ends.

Whaaa??? I missed this rule growing up.

And if the Sauerkraut did go bad....how would you know?

There was no traditional Jan First meal in my home growing up unless you count lots of fluids, Tylenol and alka seltzer (we're Irish).

It is a southern rule :)

I was born in the north, raised in the south, back north as a young adult, then back south, now home to stay! So I borrow a little from each :)
