As for the big dog, I would like to get a German Shepherd or Pit bull (because they are so plentiful at the shelters) but the SAME neighbors have a pit mix. The last thing I need is that dog getting loose (their dogs have no training) and fighting with a big dog of mine. Sturgis will run like heck to me. I know he won't get into a fight.

Yep! I figured I would give them through the holidays and give them a call. So I did and she was starting to go through the stack. Said there were apps, licenses and all kinds of things that were going to be processed today. I had her email a copy when she had it processed. Guess what!?!?!?! I got it! I just sat there staring at my phone doing a lil dance.
