sally, used to have a friend that had two nannies, he only milked them once a day, around lunch since he stayed up really late , into the early morning, then he would sleep til noon, and milk them when he got up. he also kept them milking for two years without rebreeding . we had goats, always milked them twice a day. always by hand, they didn't have a machine then.

GardeninMama, Mary is quite the looker! Opossums are awful, first predator we caught was one. DH couldn't do the deed, but I could. 10 years ago, never could I have imagined ending an animals life. Now, anything that will mess with my chickens is open game.
