What kind of dogs is everybody talking about? English Sheppards??? Are they low prey? I am looking for a barn dog that will stay around and live in the chicken barn, he would come out during the day and watch the flock. Is this the right kind of breed?

Ok so one of my hens today was looking a little off but just though ahh it is just me! So went to lock up the coop and she was in the nest box so I took her out and put her on the roost and she all but feel off the roost! Omg I think I'm gonna loose her and I have no idea what's wrong, she has been fine and healthy til today! Any ideas? Gonna look ather better in the am but I'm at a loss and feeling sick in the stomach! Not how I wanna end my birthday

well looks like the 30s are gonna suck!!

Okay, so what is it you are supposed to use for what? Tetracycline is for all antibiotic needs, or just most? What ones?
Is Safeguard wormer for all worms, or just certain ones? What does shaking their heads, and swollen eyes mean? OMG! I am just gonna burn the coop down. I give up!

Maybe I can finally help!!! Not sure where you guys are located, But I went to the Quakertown Vet when my Oriencia was sick, I HIGHLY Recommmend them! The woman I met with was awesome she is an avairan specialist! And she had pictures of chickens(past Patients) http://www.quakertownvetclinic.com/

But, I tried the Tetracycline, and such. What I learned from was.. That is good but you need to make sure they are getting the correct Dosage, for the Breed/weight, Or it's not going to be as effective ( Like putting it in their water and hoping they are getting enough, and that crap stinks, i doubt it tastes any better) She ended up prescribing a pill antibiotic.. She did tell me what was wrong, but she was talking pretty quick, chest infections of some sort.. I felt so much better after talking to her and I ended up treating 2 birds, and everyone has been great since! (Knock on wood)
