Hi everyone. I love chicken math (its the only math I can relate to). New to having chicks. Four weeks ago we went to TSC for dog food and left with 6 chicks and 2 ducklings(I never considered raising ducks before). Following week TSC again, left with 8 chicks(couldn't leave the 2 golden comets by themselves lol) and 4 more ducklings. Third week at TSC we left with 3 kahki Campbell's and no chicks. Kicking myself for not getting some bantams but oh well chick days haven't ended yet. And that is my chicken math

I can't sex, not that experienced. Honestly, only two look to be lemon, and they aren't pure lemon. I'm not concerned about pure colors, I prefer to mix and hopefully get/keep a strong gene pool, plus maybe get some pretty birds. My flock is small, the only breed I'm trying to keep pure is Swedish Flower Hens, and I try to get my eggs from different flocks.
I will grow them out, see what I have, and go from there. These are the first I've hatched from my own eggs. My lemon came from eggs on eBay from around Erie. Two roosters and one hen went to other homes across the state.

I'm just interested in a nice assortment for now. Nothing purebred. I like mutts lol.

Yep, sent the deposit in already, she has two boys who fit the bill. Waiting another couple of weeks to decide which it will be after a bit more time to confirm personalities. Can't wait!!

Thanks! Already took care of Driver's Lic, SS card and 2 banks today, HR at work is gathering all the paperwork so I can fill it out tomorrow, auto and home insurance broker advised and sending new signature papers. And boy am I regretting all of the vehicles, trailers, campers and boats that I put my name on! Geesh!
