Hey guys!! Sorry it'd been so long, been SOOO busy lately! I know I need to do a few updates, particularly with the buckeyes, German NHR, and the new guys, who are growing like weeds. Polish are already getting pin-needle crests coming in....might also update the herps...if they'll stay still for pictures

BigT88: I agree with Missy, give it a little more time, we're routing for you!

LeBlackbird, good to 'see' you! Lotsa babies coming, cool!

I've got a Silkie who has been sitting TIGHT. First chick hatched last Thursday and still she sits. I assume she knows what she's doing, although yesterday I found an egg that she pushed out,I gave it a tap and heard nothing, then turned it and noticed it pipped and I could see it's little beak, when I touched the beak, it moved! The egg was stone cold and the chick was not peeping. I put it in my shirt, while I gardened and fired up the bator, by the time I was done planting the chick was peeping, I chipped away almost the whole shell (no bleeding veins) and put her back under the Silkie. Today she's fluffed and hanging with her brrod, woo hoo!

That large red comb is a dead giveaway at ten weeks.

Can you post another Picture, Include Maybe we can see if it has saddle feathers yet.. they are cut off in this pic :) I trust looking for those Vs the Comb.. sometimes they trick you :)

Looking for ways to cut back before hubby goes unemployed,,ideas please,,,I am already known as cheap but surely I can cut things farther.

also have barley coming off in a few weeks, those that want barley need to send me a pm with the average amount they want...beaglady,,,I will deliver yours and get a soap supply at the same time.

also a small rant....had to go get a new alarm clock...do they not make anything simple anymore,,,i really would get an old big ben wind up type, but they price them as if they are antique...
Speaking of making things not simple anymore....I wanted a 100 watt light bulb, just a regular one, Nope, Then the package says, 100W or 75 W = 16W (the spiral type) Well they don't make a 75w = 16W, it is 75W = 32W, I almost started to cry I was so frustrated, I wanted 100W for the bathroom, I like it bright in there and couldn't even buy the bulb recommended for the new light fixture we picked up... UGHHHH!!!! Ended up getting Bright White 60W = 13W Spiral bulb..

Sure! This is the best I can do until I go home for the weekend, but also her comb isnt as dark as it is in the picture. It was taken near sunset and that and the way the shadow fell on the comb made it look way darker then it actually is.

She is in the back, behind Cesar, who turned out to be a rooster haha.
