Errrr...isn't that what they're called?Or is there some other terminology for abnormally small eggs?
This egg appears to be normal...just super duper tiny. It's hard-shelled with little extra flakes of calcium on it. My mom thinks it's too cute and doesn't want to crack it open, but I want to know what it looks like inside!
Now that I think about it, I have had one with a hard shell as well. As I recall, they both just had a tiny chunk of flesh surrounded by egg white. No yolk.
Other than fart egg, they are also called wind eggs. I think there is another name as well but I forget what it is.

now you need two more duckies right? I have just the two! and they both look brown color schemes, they are both amazing with colors and pattern
Hope I don't regret it. And we got this tiny little egg today! I can't tell if it's just a fart egg or if one of our teenagers is an early bloomer. The only one anywhere near old enough is our bantam Pippa and I think she's somewhere around 13 or 14 weeks? Is that too early to lay an egg? We've never gotten fart eggs from our hens before and it's been over two years. Here's a comparison. The egg on the right is either an EE or red sex link egg. I forget.
..really???? do they all do that??? Ginger hasn't farted any eggs yet, just want o k ow if THAT is something I have to look forward too/??//!!!
