pretty sure she said...a copy of the will,,,really not sure why he was released from the hospital,,,he is weak and barely makes it into the bathroom...

So If I drop a log off at your house Chad, you can cut me a slice of it?? (Hard to believe that with 3 acres, we don't own a chain saw, or circular saw...or well...any power tools except a drill..... We cut the rounds for the table numbers with a bow saw. And yes, I mean we, DH did the first several, and then I did some, and then he did one and then I did the last few. Nothing funnier than the view someone driving by would've gotten...me leaning on the log, on the trunk of the subaru while DH cut....or DH leaning on the log on the other side of the trunk as I cut!
Sure. Or tell me the diameter of logs and how think you need and I will cut ya a ton.

You can thank Obama Care for that graceful boot out the door.

can anyone tell me why a visiting nurse would ask for a couple of the will.????
Like others have said they should only be asking for a Living Will/DNR, and contact info for the POA. It should be kept on file with the office they are based from and there should be copies on file with any doctor offices, lawyers and any regularly visited hospitals. Family members should also have ready access to up to date copies, or at the very least the POA(s) should. My Grandparents' even kept a copy of their DNR and POA info in their car, but they traveled to Canada on a regular basis and were worried about possible accidents.
Something everyone should keep in mind, is that although it may be on file, the POA, and even the patient can change their mind. My Grandmother was on file as no-code (DNR) for over a decade and when she went in for surgery she told them she wished to be a full code. They followed her wishes on the day of admission, and not what her living will stated.
Sorry I worked in the admissions dept at a local hospital, and this was something we regularly asked for and advised to have completed.

I am just a little irritated that he was sent home in this shape,,,I had pneumonia a few years ago and had a hard time getting over it,,,it has to be alot harder on someone in their 90's...

it's gonna be a long week.

X2 and it will only get worse. I was still working for the hospital and then a health insurance company while a lot of the guidelines were handed down, and employees were being advised what to expect. I know it was meant to make quality healthcare affordable for everyone, unfortunately (Canada is a perfect example, although theirs is socialized not mandatory privatized) it's not possible without raising costs across the board and lowering the quality of care.
