So I get to work last night and get told, by the way x can't work tomorrow, you're on the schedule for 12. Never mind I had people coming over, things I could have done Friday but planned to do in combined trips, took on animal care for the weekend for someone, etc. Calling in isn't an option since policy is if you call in on the weekend, you are required to cover those hours your next off weekend! And they wonder why we have a bad attitude!

-rant off thank you
Are you sure we don't work the same place,,,,,,,,,,this is common for me, even telling me 4 hours after i get there that i can not leave on time

as most know i have a pen of young freedom rangers,,,the first couple weeks they stay penned up inside coop, then get left out into the fenced run area,,,,,they have been out for maybe 2 weeks now, and i have lost 3 to a predator,,,but i could not tell what since my birds tend to make a meal out of things like that......SSSOOOO,,,,I moved the camera yesterday and ended up capturing a fresh kill with it,,,,,(i was surprised as to what it was)...

I will be spending my sunday morning breakfast sitting on a bucket watching.(all kills have been early morning so far)..

pictures to come later tonight,,,be forwarned...predators can be cute...

So one apologetic email from porters later and my ENTIRE shipment is being replaced. Wow, go Porters!!!! And wow....soon to be over run by poults......does anyone need turkeys!?
ME ME ME!!! Would love to know what you have in "extras."

Quote: If you are stripping out walls & ceilings to insulate then that should solve the problem without having to do any more than replace the walls.

Before.......

Now....

And it hates me now.. Probably because I pick him or her up... and it seems to not like it... well toooooo bad... I will overly love it until it loves me again haah

Time flies!
Sounds like a gander.

Quote: I see your mayo and raise you mayo and ketchup mixed with loaded fried (started when I was preg and I still do it)

I've seen this 1 done too. JJ does this.

Quote: Done that, but usually only with the buffalo chicken fries I get...man now I'm hungry for some. I never should've started on the beers...only place that delivers here requires a $25+ order, I may love them but not $25 bucks worth.

I also forgot, sweet & sour sauce. My daughter insists on dipping her McD's fries in nugget sauce.

Can they be a holiday dinner? ETA: I'll try to get some pics of Roo and Stitch tomorrow, they both have taken to hiding when my phone is out...maybe I'll try a reg camera.
I would be interested if you end up with spares. Let me know what you have.

Quote: Men that cook,,,,,wow,,,wish I would of known that some men are actually good cooks 25 years ago.....if you do dishes also that would be priceless.

Mine cooks, cleans & does dishes...but he slacks elsewhere. May need a replacement.

Quote: keep us posted on this project, many of us follow things like this....they look really good, do you know the weekly weight gain on them.

Men that don't cook? Weird. Learned to cook when I was young, never stopped. My gather cooked as well. Also learned to sew when young. Also to hunt, fish, build things, things apart, grow things, whatever. I want to do it all!
My kids have all learned to cook, sew, clean, etc. very young, boys included. I have had 3 husbands now who were so incompetent it wasn't funny. If I hadn't taught all 3 to cook they would have starved & so would have my kids (I worked 2 jobs & went to school when the kids were little) since I was usually only home long enough to get a couple hours sleep & back out the door. Luckily, JJ cooks, cleans & does dishes. That's the main reason I keep him...LOL

Must be a baby something with nice sharp teeth & claws.

Quote: To be honest I'm not sure, we do certain holidays certain ways with the in-laws. Last year it was huge get together of the whole family (requires a church basement to fit the FILs side) I know next year we do the same thing, but I have no clue what we do this year or what my MIL will cook. Last year she didn't do any birds, we had one of their cows instead. My family can't do holiday meals at home anymore, thanks to my sister's cats needing to be indoors (she still hasn't gotten them fixed

) our Aunt ended up in the hospital with asthma issues last year.

So I go out this morning to water and I work my way around to Dexter and Lily, my two 6 week old Royal Palms. Of course I get there and Dexter is strutting! So cute to see a little 6 week old poult display! I'm in love with turkeys already...
Ok now they're sounding cuter, and more interesting....

LOL...I've dated guys that couldn't do ANY of that...needless to say it only ever lasted a few dates.
Quote: Our ducks all do the same thing, well most of them. We have one mallard who doesn't make any noise other than a barely audible squeek, but she (? I've heard only females quack) tries too.
Quote: Ok, I retract my statement of "I'll try anything once" I won't try those 100 year old eggs, or Icelandic shark.

Ugh I understand all too well...
I agree with Wing, I'd rather freezer camp over that anyday.

That stinks that you have lost birds. My mom was "Oh look at the poor baby raccoon someone hit." Me "Good one less to carry rabies up here..." This is the response I got

I thought Cream Legbars were pretty rare. Doesn't 75 for a trio seem cheap? Or am I just too new to chicken prices?

That's where the 3 roos I have came from & she swore at least 1 was a pullet even though they were all marked the same. I wouldn't have taken them, but she gave me eggs too but nothing hatched. The cochins she has on her website came from me.

Well that just seems a bit shady. They're supposed to autosex, so how could she not know?
