About how much room do you guys suggest for maybe 3 turkeys? And for 6 turkeys? With this being such a horribly busy road, and these guys being serious roamers, the game comm. said to keep them penned. Plus we have lots of coyotes he said.

I found this thread which might be helpful for you. I only got to page 6. LOL But I did ask a few questions and they were helpful for a newbie!

I honestly feel like if everyone who has any amount of land had at least two chickens, this problem would not be solved but at least we would be better off than what that video portrays... even a brainless person could keep chickens in conditions better than those (if they try, that is). Sorry for my little rant, it just makes me so mad.

And Lisa- do not thank me, thank Anne. She brought up the video, I just googled it and posted it.

Thank you guys for posting and reposting this. I saw it years ago and it really opened my eyes. I agree that PETA goes overboard, but this is just wrong on every level. If more people saw this, we could truly bring change. :old Rdilbarova, I agree, even a brainless person could do better.
:D

Bachelor/Bachelorette party....wanna come???? And it was the Crimson Fox...I like it sweet! Also helped that we sat right in front of the Members 1st tent, and kept getting free glasses from them!

You stalk us, we crash your party... Sounds fair! ; ).

My dear friends,
The turkeys came back. And this time, got the game commission out.  He tracked down the owner, who is a guy that lives on the other side of these woods and decided to raise them just for watching them, but they just took off.  He doesn't want them and told Game commission to tell me to take them.
Two have disappeared, and the game commission thinks between coyotes and traffic it is not surprising.  We now have them, and they are safe and sound.  No more holding my breath waiting for them to cross the road!  WHEW!!!
:love

Congrats on the turkeys!!

I have decided to go to the Ohio National.  I am very excited about it!  10,000 birds showing, and 3,000 in the "for sale" area!!!

Will you be showing, buying, or both??

hi stranger, hope you are doing well! you do know you talk more to my hubby than I do hahahahaha.

I'm kinda just throwing this out there.....

I realize it's like walking into AA and asking if anyone ever walked into a bar and wanted to own their own bar.....

So anyway....Has anyone ever just wanted a cornucopia of animals and figured on justifying it as having your own petting zoo.....just for your family and friends....or just wanted to get drunk with a llama.....

I have been eyeing animals up....alpacas for sale.....dwarf nigerian goats....emu.....and a lot of really cool birds! .......a donkey....a potbelly pig named wilbur.............

So has anyone ever felt like this?

No, Chad, I can't say I have. I can't justify the feed bill. It's bad enough I got another horse.
If you want to buy a goat, I have a Nigerian Dwarf I believe needs a new home. She's friendly, just not keen on being touched to much.
