Oh, so, CUTE!!!!!!! I love chickies!!
It's for people under 18 years old to basically be tested on their poultry knowledge.
Yeah, but it's hard too.that's so cool!
Yeah, but it's hard too.
I'm already entered, we where too late to get in for the breed show, but we got showmanship, which is probably good, because that's about two weeks in a different place for the birds, so a lot of stress.are you already entered or do you enter ahead of time?
Generally a number of people from here end up at the farm show. Occasionally some even manage to meet up to put a face with a screen name. I was there last year, but it isn't far for me.
I'm sure there are a few here who would live to learn about showmanship for their up and coming chicken fanatics (children).
On a side note. Now I'm caring for two neighbors poultry this weekend, ducks and chickens. Maybe there is a need for poultry sitters, you know, like dog walkers! Hmmm, guess there aren't enough to make that a business. Probably be too much competition from everyone here anyway!
Side question, in red sex link, is the sex link gene carried by the male or female? Just one of those things that pops in my mind.

Gorgeous!! That's a lot of chicks to overwinter, you are dedicated! Do you show? I know you have to be careful with that breed when transporting so you don't mess up their tail feathers. What kind of incubator is that? I think it may be time for me to invest in a 'real' incubator. I am suffering through a terrible hatch right now, pretty sure my temps were off. Chickenboy100, that's awesome that you're in the show! Are you studying your SOP? What breed are you showing? No one from our 4H is doing showmanship, but we've got some friends at Montgomery County 4H who are entered.
