Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Yay, I am finally caught up on my reading! Been busy with my puppies, (mom is done being mom and doesn't like to feed them). Hubby was busy making roofs for our chicken and turkey runs. Not complete roof on the run but a place to sorta stay dry. We wrapped the back of the runs in a tarp to keep the wind and snow from blowing in. Hopefully the chickens and turkeys like their improvements :)

Barb:

Back in the day, one of my pups had a litter or two, around 4 weeks the vet suggested this: a cocktail some eggs, whole milk and a bit of karo...blended ....we stuck the pups noses in the mix and they were game on...took the load off of mom(big litter) twice a day....later we mixed the puppy chow in to move them off mom....worked well....

I been mashing up some puppy kibble and they love it. They are getting their teeth, very sharp lol. Momma will lay down for about 5 mins to feed them before she gets annoyed and walks away with puppies hanging off of her. They are almost 4 weeks now.

264 posts since I was here last! I'm not going to even try to catch up with all of that! Anyway, hope everybody's Christmas was nice. We are out here in Stubenville OH right now. Leaving tomorrow morning, heading back through Pittsburgh after stopping at Pirmanti Bros. for lunch. Hopefully be home by dinner time. Been away from my girls for the first time overnight. Can't wait to get back home.

Hubby says raising chicks is so much easier than raising puppies. He can't wait to raise some silkies and wyandottes
