Here's for Wingstone and all. Hatched on Christmas day, Cubalaya chicks

....and the incubator fully loaded again...... except for the three brown ones on the far right and blue-ish green ones, they are all Cubalaya eggs, the blue-ish green ones are Easter Egger eggs.

Oh, so, CUTE!!!!!!! I love chickies!!

Generally a number of people from here end up at the farm show. Occasionally some even manage to meet up to put a face with a screen name. I was there last year, but it isn't far for me.
I'm sure there are a few here who would live to learn about showmanship for their up and coming chicken fanatics (children).
On a side note. Now I'm caring for two neighbors poultry this weekend, ducks and chickens. Maybe there is a need for poultry sitters, you know, like dog walkers! Hmmm, guess there aren't enough to make that a business. Probably be too much competition from everyone here anyway!
Side question, in red sex link, is the sex link gene carried by the male or female? Just one of those things that pops in my mind.

Red sex-links are created by crossing a red roo with a white hen to produce red pullets & white roos that are sexed by down color at hatch. The roos may later develop some red in the wings & hackles but will still be predominantly white. When breeding sex-link to sex-link the characteristics do not breed true. Babies will not be sexable by down color at hatch.

Gorgeous!! That's a lot of chicks to overwinter, you are dedicated! Do you show? I know you have to be careful with that breed when transporting so you don't mess up their tail feathers. What kind of incubator is that? I think it may be time for me to invest in a 'real' incubator. I am suffering through a terrible hatch right now, pretty sure my temps were off. Chickenboy100, that's awesome that you're in the show! Are you studying your SOP? What breed are you showing? No one from our 4H is doing showmanship, but we've got some friends at Montgomery County 4H who are entered.
