I can do that on a smaller scale.

Pretty!!!!
having the same issue here...no pests..they are eating , but look ..tired...but, see Baba just went through this and now she is getting back to herself everyday..so i am trying not to freak..hahah..anyway..I have 2 right now..a BLRW-blue & BLRW-black...the black is pretty wacked looking..did hen checks...everything is "normal..soI may have a problem.
Is it normal for my hen to be molting at this time?
We have 5 Hens. 3 New Hampshire Reds and 2 Buff Orphingtons
1 of my New Hampshire Reds is showing a rapid loss of feathers around the head and spreading downward.
All the other chickens look normal.
The only thing that we did lately was put some vaselene on thier combs about a week ago.
It looks like she may also be loosing weight, but then she is loosing feathers so that may not be a factor.
I kinda new at this, so Id figgure Id ask?
We are getting 2 to 3 eggs a day from the group, and we don''t see anything out of the norm except for the loss of feathers from our one girl.
Just set a bunch an hour ago bator is packed with brahma and CCL lolGood afternoon folk:
Cleaned out the coop today....pretty nasty stuff....but good for the garden.....my CCL boy is doing great and I may send him back to the girls tomorrow mid day....
Sally:
How are your CCLs doing....hope you didn't need to cut any of them...but if you need to then it is what it is....don't need any boys, but if you have a couple of girls to part with PM me...
Lisa:
Wood chips are a good cover, but, they will steal the nitrogen out of the soil....(per NPR gardening show),...might build a screen for my run....and use a few handfuls of scratch to seed...
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice sunny warm day...

lovely!
way-out future is to have the big run full of sand..but not there yet..will be awhile...so, what to do now?!....fill in low areas & going to do the grass-grow thing through the wire..like CC just showed...excellent pic by the way Ray!! Thank you...that is what I was thinking!!! Pinterest has some cool ideas too.....I put a pickup load of sand in there in the fall. Then messed it all up, like I said a few pages back, with straw. D:
The sand I have left I'm just going to add more PA Quartz sand to. It seems to be really nice yet. Dry and easy to keep the poop scooped up out of. Even when it's below freezing it stays pretty movable so I know it's not getting really waterlogged or anything.
Supposed to be going to get a load of sand tonight I think actually. Just got done cleaning out the coop too. And raked what's left of the sand in the run. Chickens are having a ball right now with half a pot of chicken noodle soup I threw out on the compost pile. It's the first time they've gotten noodles. They're so funny! ^_^
I would so totally hang that!!!! hahahhaah...my old springer was named Elmer J. Fudd!!! we called him Fuddnow that's a sign I would hang up
