An amazing day! Northeastern Poultry Congress

Way too many hours in the car, Roosters crowing as we pass through the toll in NYC make my son say he feels like we're the Beverly Hillbillies. Biggest show I've ever seen. Sneaking chicks past the front desk at the hotel...

That is awesome Martha, have fun, I hear its a great show, and I have some other friends that went too!

Can I get pics of them? I am after something in particular and if they don't have it, I am not going to bother running over an hour away for them.

No problem, I will try to get them this weekend. The one is a lot nicer then the other, but the other one could catch up. I don't have the other cockerel, he is my cousin's bird. He came from April, she hatched him, but the eggs were from LarkRise. I can try to get a pic of him too.

my kind of research...

according to science I am normal, need to show this to hubby who is up at sunrise and sleeping by 7pm...I am just getting started at 7pm....I blame it on years of swingshift though not science.

anybody else have completely different sleep patterns than another and constantly battle over it??

No battle here, but after decades of swing shift, please explain what a sleep pattern is? I have had weeks my shift has changed daily and I ended up working all 24 hours. Also did a 25 hour shift one day.

Quote: my point exactly,,,after years of this kind of work,,,having that set schedule of early to bed early to rise, just does not happen......I to can go days without sleep and think of it as normal,,,but when I crash I expect to be left alone,,,,I do not really care if it's 8 am and things need done....

guess I am in the wrong profession,,,everyone seems to think that birds need fed early in the morning......my chickens seem perfectly happy to see me at midnight....

and who says I can not mow the grass at 10pm in the summer.....that is what the headlights are there for right...

just a rant about society and the so called normal order of things...
