Good Morning! Chcicken question for the experienced chickeneers...

My chicks are about 2-3 weeks old, and we (my husband mostly) starting realizing that they are awake and scratching-cheeping etc. all night intermittently. I suspect they eat -drink-sleep-poop repeat all the time, but we haven't noticed it because they had quieter peeps. Are the becoming more active or are we just hearing them more? When do they start to sleep through the night? Again, everyone seems healthy and happy (and constantly looking for treats. :drool
Just checking in to make sure this is normal. Thanks!

Since everyone was talking about broodies yesterday, I had to share this picture. These are two of my new wyandottes, Pebbles and Snow. I'm wondering if Pebbles is going to grow up to be broody lol.

lol, little snow is the youngest and smallest of the group and she is always wiggling her way under the bigger ones lol. I actually have her on my lap right now in a "nest" in my bathrobe. She just wants cuddled and kept warm. Pebbles let her stay there for a little while. I thought it was so cute :)
 
I sold 4 dozen eggs today and have another dozen sold at noon!

My fridge is now empty of eggs lol. I have an order for 2 dozen on Friday. I told my hubby that I sold all the eggs and still need eggs for Friday and he said we need more Rocks. I couldn't believe he said that.

(me when he said that) Chicken math at it's finest. With yesterday's beautiful weather I had 11 eggs laid for me :)

Is anybody else still having trouble with this time change,,,I keep gettin up late, and just can not get with it....

and I am not an early riser to begin with when I am on this shift.

so tell me what you all do to force yourself up and with it..it would help if the house was not cold,,hate to get out from under those covers
