Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

also have another question, I am needy today,

remember a couple weeks ago when I processed the silkie and took it to work ,, well the buyer  of that chicken now wants 2 more....here's the dilemma I quit working with silkies and only have a few left,,,if I do the last 2 roosters than all I have are some crosses..who would of thought a little silkie would have a following..((my silkie boys are not the really small ones though)...

they claim they tasted different, wonder about the crossses..  I never ate any of the pure silkie so I wouldn't know, I have used the bones for stock though and it seemed no different.

Well, if you have any silkie hens I will take those before they become someone's dinner :)

My husband suggested that too lol (I do remember chip & Dale lol) but supposedly the EES are all pullets and I'm not allowed to name the bantams. They're the kids' chicks lol. I'm picking up 4 marans on Friday so maybe I'll name one of them Dale

No one remembers Dale Evans?

hello all

does anyone raise coturnix quail near SE PA?

I would like to get a male and a few females................

especially once it gets a bit warmer so that they can be primarily outdoors.

I am hoping they will be substitute for chicks.............

Plus I love the decorative egg shells

I did not forget about you,,,I am waiting till this weekend when I start to move birds around to take a good look at what was overwintered in the quail cages, I kept some breeders but not sure what I have to spare till I start hatching eggs again this season....my quail do not come inside they get overwintered in a corner of the equipment shed with tarps thrown over the cage when the weather gets to bad...

I also recommend that you get more than 1 female,,,,,,,those boys can quickly overbreed just 1 female....
