. Those are fingers... and toes! But no emoticon for toes... so imagination will have to suffice!

I don't know how you guys can do to incubator hatches...my nerves would be shot and I would be a wreck! But I do envy you being able to completely watch the process... we definitely miss out on that!

Crossing fingers for you stake! I should be candling tonight if I can get myself in gear.

In dentist chair yet again. Another day, another root canal.

I haven't posted one of these in a while but we were discouraged there for a while and completely stopped working on it but we're back to it now. Well, once Hubby gets home from training. I'll do what I can on my own but that's not much lol

Yep Annie:

Its been a tough winter....5 of 10 have ended up in my 'hospital', I lost two and three are still recovering on some level...still need to integrate two girls back into the flock and the two girls aren't getting along...was hoping to get a good hatch to flood the yard with chooks and mix everything up....time will tell.....

Thanks to everyone for the help and advice yesterday,,,,,and I know legal advice is only worth the words on the screen, but others can give a different perspective that you never considered.....

as for grass, I grow grass in the main run, even with over a hundred birds,,,,,It grows under grates that the birds can only get to what sticks up, we lift these grates every year and have a look, if needed we retill the area and plant grass seed...
I am going to try that this year.... the grazing frames. Every year I till the ground and seed it and I move the chickens to another part of the run and within a couple weeks it is dirt again. I am hoping that grazing frames will help out, going to do several to cover a 400sq ft area.

I sold 5 dozen eggs today!! Pays for 2 weeks of feed. Awesomesauce :)

Found one of my turkeys, she just about a year old and tried to lay her first egg. She has a prolapsed vent. I tried to push it back in but it came back out. I can't bring her in to nurse her back to health. :( Do you think she will be ok or should we put her down? I'm so upset. She's a mix of Red bourbon and Royal Palm.
