What do you mean, mean? Chuck is such a little sweetie! :)

Not that he is mean.
Have you ever had "chucked something out"? Maybe food gone bad?
Since "Chuck" rhymes, you could call him "Chuck, the duck". I was referring to it being mean to "chuck out a duck"

Maybe it's a dialect or generational thing. I'll stop trying to be so funny.

Oh!!! I get it! It is funny! :lau

Chippy....so glad you got the bantam cochin you were looking for.  I just hatched 11 of them and they are sooooo cute.  I should have splash, blue, and  black.  We just got ducks for my daughter this year also.  Chuck is adorable, but he may need a friend since ducks are very social.  Good luck in finding him one.:)

I just put an ad on CL for a call duck hen. If anyone knows of any please PM me. Chuck was $20. Is that expensive? I don't really know... it's my first duck.

My silkie roo is named Chuck as well.

That's great!

SS: sweet sweet turkey poults!!!

YAY!!!

Quote: The plan is to eat them. I'm not entirely sure about breed, but I think they are blue slate/royal palm crosses? And you can join me for a cup of tea on my covered porch anytime!
The tom is a blus slate. Hens are blue slate & royal palm. Not sure where the heck the buff colored babies came from. Looks like either mine are carrying a color I didn't know about or Sara slipped you a few eggs from someone else along with mine. I was thinking I only sent her 6-8, not 12. The whites may not be mine but are possible since I have the palm hens in the mix. My eggs would have all been dated in pencil on the fat end & have either slate, palm or s/p written on them depending on whether I knew which hen laid it or not.

This was a lousy weekend to decide to be sick! So much to do outside and my head just throbbed whenever I leaned over. I'm sure there will be plenty more nice days to come, but did I really see SNOW in the forecast!

On the bright side, I did pick up two rabbit cages, two carriers, 11 water bottles, three feeders and a chick waterer for $60. Not a bad deal. Even got a Rubbermaid tote out of it.

I can not remember who has what, but I need about 100 quail eggs, does not need to be all at once.?.? Willing to do some swapping,,locals would have an option of wheat, barley or straw also

Laptop not working, have use the I pad for awhile, please excuse auto correct, it speaks a different language than I do.
