So cool! I love seeing the changes they make.

We locked down some eggs today and I've got a first time Broody set to hatch on Monday. I didn't candle her eggs so I sure hope there are no stinkers under there!

Right now it's 65 degrees and when I wake up tomorrow it's supposed to be 24. What's up with that? I'm sure the rest of Pennsylvania is gonna feel this odd temperature drop off, I believe it's an all time low for April in my area. I guess I better get my garden covered with straw tonight because my spring garden is finally coming up and we are getting temperatures low enough to damage everything

This weekend we had 80 degrees and tonight we are supposed to get snow!

I don't like the huge temperature swings. I didn't get my garden planted outside yet, I learned from last year when everything got killed by frost.Good luck with your garden Mike.

we took the little greenhouse that we got from tractor supply outside with our started seeds in it. We were about to put them in the garden but didn't yet. Will it keep them warm enough if it's closed up or should we drag it back inside again?

Depends what you planted. If it's warm weather stuff like tomatoes I would definetely bring them inside. The stuff in my garden is cool weather stuff like peas, carrots, beets, radishes, onions, lettuce. They can handle low temperatures and "light frost", so if it was like 30 degrees I wouldn't be too concerned. But if we hit the predicted low of 24 degrees I think that's medium frost. It may damage or even kill my plants. It may be different temperature wise depending where you live. I believe if I throw some straw over the plants for the night, I should be alright

My forecast says 28, I'm hoping its a quick dip....I have a bunch of stuff that probably won't make it, but I'm going to cover them up and hope for the best....

ok Thanks. I'll have to bring them in then. I'm new to this gardening stuff. I have peas, green beans, zucchini, cucumber, tomatoes and peppers in it.
