I give up on hatching
turkey eggs, so I am just gonna order poults.

Both Stromberg and Meyer have what I want and are close by for shipping.....anyone have any info on why one would be Better than the other....

My turkey hatch will be a bust, I removed all of those eggs last night, many never even started, wondering if that box went thru xray.-..so I am back in the search for midget whites....
Actually just about everything in that incubator was bad, wonder if my temps are not jumping around when I am at work....

I think most of the problems are caused by me not having the time to care for the incubator, they never get turned on time and I know the temps swing cause the thermometer keeps track of high and low...

C
Anyone with midget white poults or I would consider Beltsville if the price was right....
Is it to late to try and order them from a hatchery...

I have one midget white poult -3 weeks old no idea of the sex.

Well, heard back from the game commission. Bear was a male. Just under 400 pounds. No wonder he was shaking the trailer trap!

Wow!

Happy Mother's Day to all it applies to.

Happy Mother's day to all the moms and grandmas out there. I scored a truck load of free wood and shingled roof. Drove an hour to get it but I have plans for it. Chicken coop or storage shed or maybe a rabbit hutch. lol Hubby says shed to store chicken stuff instead of his mancave. :( We need to pull out a buttload of nails in the 2x4 but I still think it was worth it.

Annie: Be careful with the grit....I lost a bird to an infected crop....the vet tech asked if I gave her grit....if your girls free range they will get all they need with out suplement....my two cents....
Thanks Stake! I am allowing the girls to free range most days, since I'm home and either I or the dog can watch them.
Awesome day!!! 3 beautiful babies, 2 boys and a girl. Very tired here. sorry bad photos. camera battery died, these are from the phone They are awesome!
So in chicken news...we went to the mud sale in Honeybrook yesterday, how AWESOME!! got a meat bird enclosure for $5!! It's not int the best shape, but I think I can fix it up ~and I'm hoping to get the turkeys in there as my sister is coming to visit and this will buy me time to clean the poo off her stuff. Annie, yes Lily is a goat (probably figured that out by now) :D She is the Alpha in our herd and my special girl. The babies did well last night, the biggest one even slept off by himself~ he's HUGE by Nigerian Dwarf standards...
Awesome find! Yes the pictures were quite helpful to see she is a goat. Lol!
