Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Morning Everyone!

As of now there are only 11 people interested in the session with Dr. Hanshaw and Dr. Martin.

Remember, after the session Dr. Hanshaw has offered up the Poultry Tech Certification where we can get it all in a one day session. Learn about Animal husbandry, NPIP, PEP as well as proper bio-security for the backyard flock owners. A chance to have a Q&A with the top two Poultry folks in PA and meet the folks you chat with on a regular basis on here.

I have the Poultry Tech Application available on request I can send via email.

Thanks Everyone!

Chad

Quote: CHAD..... Sounds like a plan! Did you candle? how far are they and how long out of nest? or were u just "holding" them? if so how long? If they are just new it would work well for a staggered and I will get the silkie out today but I have to rig something of a brooder for him, as he is tiny and no way going in with them blue partridge week olds!!

Chad - are ya giving my new egss away already lol .... and thinking about the drs thing just not sure ... depends on time and money .. have yall set a definite date yet for the meeting ?

Okay Sally. A ton of questions and I will try and answer them all.

The Session is the BIG thing. Dr. Gregory Martin and Dr. Nan Hansahw are looking to come together with all of us that have questions on anything we can throw at them. The NPIP(National Poultry Improvement Plan) The PEP (Pullorium Equivilant Program) as well as testing, diseases, animal husbandry with an ephanis on poultry, bio security and most anything you have questions about will be answered. As well as it's a chance to come together with other folks from on here. This is open to anyone that wants to come (not just BYC folks) , but anyone that wants to learn about the state and federal regulations and programs available to US the backyard flock owners. The date is not firm yet. We are trying for a Saturday and it will most likely be in Harrisburg so we can acommidate folks from all over. And after the session Dr. Hanshaw offered up the Poultry Tech Certification to anyone that is interested. I have the applications.

The session will be free including the Poultry Tech Cert. The only fee besides driving to Harrisburg is the $10 license fee for the Poultry Tech license and we are planning on a Saturday.

Shoot I was thinking we could even do a potluck for lunch.
