this is funny, thanks for the laugh of the dayThere's a chicken in my house that hells at me every time I try to move her away from the baseboard heater to put her in her cage..
She needed a good foot cleaning to find out why she was limping, to cold out so she had to come in...problem with this is that I live 3 miles away from the farm...was really hoping I didn't get pulled over or even anyone look in my car since I stopped at the store on the way home... ain't everyday your passenger is a chicken, she sat calmly on the seat and was sleeping when I came out of the store...
Now to get her caged for the night, she really likes that heater

well, still funny. my husband gave up years ago on animals in the house, altho i do admit, he usually lets me have my own way without much of a fight. right now letting him think about taking a couple of hens to florida with us for the eggs (and because i miss them really bad, last year down there every time we saw chickens on the side roads i made him stop so i could talk to them lol) so in my opinion , go for it, since men just don't understandWell now hubby is the one yelling, he hates chickens in the house unless they are on his plate....
She still favors the floor right in front of the heater,,this is suppose to be a cold hardy chicken............don't tell no one but this morning while waiting for my coffee, I laid son on the floor with her,, it is real nice and toasty in front of the heat..
Well how do I know if the leg is getting better, I have to let her out of the cage to walk around, right.....hubby not agreed with this.
x's 2 on that !! They give -in sooner rather than later, at least that has been the results in my casewell, still funny. my husband gave up years ago on animals in the house, altho i do admit, he usually lets me have my own way without much of a fight. right now letting him think about taking a couple of hens to florida with us for the eggs (and because i miss them really bad, last year down there every time we saw chickens on the side roads i made him stop so i could talk to them lol) so in my opinion , go for it, since men just don't understand

oh man..so sorry Blarney!! They got into it THAT bad?! wowsers....i am so sorry..Two of my cockerels got into it yesterday. They usually give each other a dance or so, but no blood drawn. These boys are usually cooped together. This morning my main Roo, Tom, is beaten badly. I do not think he's going to make it. I'm so mad at myself for not separating them yesterday. Tom is great with the ladies and my large Splash Orpington Cockerel, he's also never aggressive with people.
no idea, but it certainly has the cool factor. If it was cheap enough I'd get it even if it didn't work as a decoration or to repurpose as a side table or something.
OK, quick search tells me...
Brand name used by sears. Probably 1950's. No automatic turner, but may not require turning each egg, not sure how that part works. Generally well made. Probably works or fixable.
Still like the cool factor.
Danielle! This is the coolest ever, does it work? I agree with Ray, a decorative addition to the homestead even if it doesn't work.
...hey ...thanks guys. I am not sure if it is in working order, but like you said..the COOL factor is at a high pointX2 on the cool factor!
I would take it in a heartbeat and I don't even use incubators! LOL

I would buy the incubator just for the decoration....
The chicken was not in a cage... I was worried I would find her on the dashboard or who knows where

Right now it is at $25.00..., still not too bad...it is an auction, online..so this thing could go way over board. We will see..Christmas is getting closer, so maybe.....![]()
there are pics of the motor & all, but of course they don't have the "working" condition posted.
mine does, he has to live with me lolAgree!
Agree!
Agree!
. Do you have him in chicken ICU? ( in my case, a dog crate in the living room)![]()
Chicken loose in the car? You are a rebel!![]()
I would absolutely stop to talk to chickens... If Hubby would stop the car.![]()
x's 2 on that !! They give -in sooner rather than later, at least that has been the results in my case...I think all guys are real softies on the inside, just gotta know what/how to get them there
...hahha, oops, now i just gave the secret away!![]()

I am very lucky... DH is even worse than I am when it comes to spoiling the critters. If he even thinks there is a problem the lucky critter gets brought in, given treats and a chance to hang out for a while for observation. If it has fur or feathers he is a total pushover.Well now hubby is the one yelling, he hates chickens in the house unless they are on his plate....

I have to admit, I would probably have to move half the coop with us if we did the Florida thing for winter.... just wouldn't seem right if we didn't. It is strange when we go to fishing camp for 2 days at a time!well, still funny. my husband gave up years ago on animals in the house, altho i do admit, he usually lets me have my own way without much of a fight. right now letting him think about taking a couple of hens to florida with us for the eggs (and because i miss them really bad, last year down there every time we saw chickens on the side roads i made him stop so i could talk to them lol) so in my opinion , go for it, since men just don't understand
