Sally, yes, I did it to keep track of the Americaunnas vs EE's as they all look alike!

Blarney....yeah...that! I hate taking pictures that have my hands in them....actually...I just hate pics...

I have a young Blue Copper Roo and 2 Blue Copper Pullets

Pullets aren't laying yet, and the Roo is just starting to show an interest in the girls.

My present breeders are all black coppers.
These Marans are addicting,,,, the eggs are so cool !
I stumbled on them by chance,,,bought 3 hens just because I liked them,,, thought they were black stars.

So odes that mean maybe blue and copper maran eggs or chicks in the spring possibly ? lol if so im coming to visit

Sure hope so,,, if all goes well.

Eggs in the incubator now,,, some new blood, all blacks.
Hoping to do another hatch this fall yet,,, if this one goes well enough and if I can get some good Blue Copper eggs.
Marans will definitely be the number one breed on this farm.
Love the rooster's personalities,,,, I've only had one that I didn't like,,,, and he's gone now!

And, maybe blarneyeggs can help me out some,,,, I hear she's got some different blood at her place too.......

Maybe i will visit both of you come spring . I really like the marans. I gave my cuckoo hen to chad mainly b/c she was lone marans here and way on the bottom of pecking order
