I am thinking this might be a long shot but here it goes. I bought some silkie chicks from a lady in Glenville/Glen Rock area couple years ago. (she also had bcm's) She had them on craigslist and had different colors including paint. I can't remember her name...I have looked back on emails and nothing. I am not sure if she is on here or if anyone knows who I am talking about. But if someone does please let me know. THANKS! :)

In July I got a salmon faverolles roo from Beaglady, well he died the weekend after Thanksgiving. I had also got 2 salmon faverolles and 1 cuckoo maran from her also. The girls are fine, in fact they get along better with the other girls than when he as there. Yesterday I ordered 3 blue cochins (1 male 2 female) I also ordered 3 buff brahmas (1 male 2 female). My question is was it a good idea to have ordered the males. I have 15 girls now....2 RIR's, 3 SLW"S, 2 BR's, 2 w leghorns, 3 Ameraucanas, 2 Salmon Fav's, and 1 Cuckoo Maran. I keep thinking I should of ordered 2 Wellsumer pullets instead of the 2 boys. I do not free range and I have 1 large coop and my enclosed run is about 14 x 12. When I had Sampson he would not let the girls that came with him out of his sight and he chased the other girls away. I don't want that to happen again.
