Have you ever been so tired you fell asleep with your feet in the air?

Good pic! I have had people ask it there is anything wrong with a chick doing that. I tell them after 21 days of being constantly turned and spending half the time on their backs, new chicks have to learn what right side up is.

Played musical chickens yesterday
Combined my 2 pens of layers together
Cleaned the 2 empty coops
Moved a trio of sumatras and my b/b/s orpingtons minus the broody into them
Moved the first of three triangle tractors outside and put bantam Wyandottes there
Converted the 75 year old playhouse into a grow up pen and moved all fully feathered chicks out there
Moved my 5 new runners(not Pekins like DH thought) into the duck pen. What happens happens.

1 triangle slide in production, 1 hoop coop to be built for meaties asap, 1 brooder cleared for meaties, 1 brooder ready for whatever hatches from the school (2 batons going there)

Wow! You had a way more productive weekend than I did! :thumbsup

I haven't had chicks this young before, the ones I started with last year were already a few days old at least. They seemed to sleep a lot yesterday, but it was a stressful day after just hatching and being jostled around so much! But they all seem to be eating pooping and drinking well. Oh, and they are so cute it will be hard for me to give them up! :love

First time with day old broad breasted turkeys, last year we bought them around a month old. These little guys are so vocal, peep peep peep. They make more noise than my meaties. Can't wait to see who grows faster lmao

Turkey poults can be a challenge the first week. One breeder I now won't even sell them until one week to most people do to losses. Not sure how the bb are.

They came into the feed store in the beginning of the week and we couldn't pick them up until Saturday so they were almost a week old. They are eating and drinking very well. No problems finding the food and water.

They look very healthy and active. I heard they were hard to take care of in the beginning so we didn't want to try them as day olds before.

Erie,pa!!! :)

Welcome from Cambria County!

Total waste day. Lawn tractor broke down, push mower won't start. After messing with them, tired so I end up just sitting.
People from cl say they want something and will come today, then don't reply. They are really starting to p*** me off. It's like waiting for the cable guy.

I'm sorry you're having a rough day. I hope it gets better!
