i swear, the little monsters are cleaned out daily...they are impossible

Someone asked me how many chickens I had.
I told them I didn't count roosters, anything not of laying age, broodies, anything I planned to eat or sell, turkey or quail or anything that was part of a project.

I said 3.

I lied.

been a while since I have had time to sit in front of a computer.....but I was going to make a decision on adding a new breed. been researching them both, in love with them both, but the decision is only one of them. any discussions, comments, preferances, concerns, or how to make the final choice between the two......PENEDESENCA OR FAYOUMI

I see you list LF silkies in your signature.... how big are they? I know there is LF version of them but I don't think I have ever actually seen one so was wondering just how much bigger they are than the normal ones we see.

I am not familiar with either of the breeds you are trying to choose from, the fayoumi is noted to be very loud and flighty though, so if you can't free range or if you have close neighbors they may not be a good fit. Pendesencas are dual purpose, so bigger in body and a bit bigger eggs...it depends on your set u and what role you would want them to fill.

i still have not found the nest, you would think that she left egg shells behind

I assume you checked both straw piles? There is always a nest up in the old barley straw. Sometimes is buried back in behind baked.

I've been there too often.

Her nest is probably stashed somewhere in the shed then.
