Am I alone in saying....

IT'S WAY TOO COLD!!!

I'm not ready for this cold stuff AT ALL! I've been freezing all day. Doesn't help that I've been laying around all day and not up and moving around. I think I pulled an adhesion and I've been confined to the couch most of the day. Thank God for hubby who's been taking care of me all day. He just started the first fire of the season in the fireplace. As pretty as it looks, I'm still not ready for summer to leave

Wow how cold is it there? First fire of the season already? I am not ready for that yet. It was chilly here, but I spent most of my time in the hot bathroom rubbing a chicken butt. This week is supposed to warm up again. That is when everyone gets sick!

If the chicken train can come through Hunlock Creek (NE,PA) then we have a Female Khaki Campbell Duck for sale. She is almost 1 1/2 years old and lays very light blue eggs. In March she started laying thin shelled eggs, they're still good to eat just no good for hatching and they don't store long. We've tried everything to fix it, oyster shell, limestone, crushed eggshell, molasses, Nutri-drench, and a higher nutrition/protein feed. We've also tried to get her to take a break from laying, but she won't it's always an egg a day.

We are asking $15 for her and would rather her go to a pet home, if not we will have to sell her for meat.

If you aren't interested then this is open to anyone and any other advice on correcting this is welcome

I won't be that far north, but if you can arrange to get her down to the Lehigh valley on Halloween weekend (and if duckies1230 wants her) I can bring her west to the Pittsburgh area.

Stake, she said cover runs and wrap them in wildlife netting and or hardware clothe to keep out sparrows and rodents who can carry the virus.

It was low 50's last night but low 40's this morning. Too cold for right now lol. The fire was REALLY nice but it did end up getting too hot. I'm glad it's going to warm up again. I don't like the cold.

Yes its chilly out there this morning....didn't have three of the chooks make it back into the coop last night spent and hour combing the backyard with no signs....well they turned up this am in the veggie garden....Rooster was crowing on que at 5:40a....whew.....

I would do that if you can get her to the Pittsburgh area, I don't want her sold for meat. Even though my mother in law got me a duck, its at her house, she's bringing it down this weekend!!! Yay!!! I would still take that Duckie to save her! Unless someone else can!
