Thank ya! Now if I could just figure out a way to make me eat it...
I'm totally jealous! Besides garlic, my garden has only cover crops in it now.

I have thought about building these to sell, in all my "spare time". I'm pretty sure that's how Dickey's got started. I bought the shelves and turner from them and have about $500 in materials so far, but it will be better than a Sportsman - 2x the capacity, real insulation, and a better thermostat (a PID controller that has a computer to model the heating profile of the heating element and "learn" how to control the temp very accurately). My Dad is helping me build it and I told him it would be $1600 worth of capacity for only $500 (because my time is free when computing anything poultry related). So how much are you gonna charge to build me one?![]()

Hopefully I can get the heating stuff installed soon and can do the "Sally Sunshine" trick and put thermometers all around the inside to see if the temps are stable. The fan is supposed to do 240 cu ft per minute, hopefully that eliminates and hot or cold spots, even it an incubator that is this large (4 ft tall). If not, I have a second fan I can put in to double that.
I think this is the incubator that Tim "the Tool Man" Taylor would build . . .
That's looking awesome! I can't wait to see it when it's done.
Hmmm... I'm assuming they have these for men too. Hubby is always saying his feet are cold...I desperately need to go get some of those thermal socks. I've been eyeing them up for a while now. My feet are always cold (then again, so is the rest of me lol).
Haha! I just plugged in my water heater too. I think we've just been spoiled by those lovely temps. I was going through emails from last year, and I had to cancel a job on January 19th because of bad snow conditions. We haven't even seen a snowflake here yet! I'm not complaining....Well you've done more than I have.....just this past weekend I finally ran the cords and plugged in the water bowls to keep them from freezing. If I keep this up I might have some plastic around the run by about March or so.
They are adorable! The bator looks good too. Whatever will you fill it with?
I second the question: What's going in there!? Not that I couldn't find things to fill it with if I thought long enough...
