Good afternoon all:

Got home from work today and the fox got into my pen.....one dead Red Dorking and my blind Roo was taken...I am really ****** off....I am down to two adult hens, a RD and a CCL and 7 junior birds from DH in a second pen...(fox hasn't messed with them yet)....

So, I re-enforced pen #1 and will move all the juniors in there tonight....of course, I am fighting the weather and my work schedule to complete the new pen....

Wow, sorry to hear this...are you sure a neighborhood stray dog isn't involved? I know fox are feeding young but that is pretty extreme!

This is a fox....have been playing this game a while....the fox just keeps adapting....he's been real aggressive lately...one time soon I'll tag him hope I have any girls left by then....I don't think its a mama feed a brood...haven't herd any callings at night....

Just found out my 3 1/2 week old chicks love strawberries and grapes.....lol

The chicks are getting brave! They were outside as soon as I opened the run for free range. The adults didn't seem to pay attention to the chicks almost right next to them.

Sturgis (dog) got goosed by the drake.

He kept going after Jojo because Jojo was following me. Jojo went after Sturgis a few times, but the goosing was hysterical!

Toe question, My largest silkie has a toe on each foot that almost appear turned under at all times. he/she does not appear to be walking any differently. Should I be concerned, Should I splint them...Sorry for what may seem like silly questions.
