That bothers me as well, even though he had been picking off my chickens. I suppose he injured himself trying to get out, or my dog did it.

I had to catch him up by hand and stuff him in there.

Great Pics! Also love the name glitch. Are those RSL from an Egg to Egg project? We are in the heart of one of those right now. Hatching is done and we are brooding chicks.

I think we just seen one last night creeping through the woods I am going to put on a door inside the coop infront of there other door so if it gets in through that door he has another to try and get through before he can get my chickens cause that's the only was he can really get in there house sets two feet off the ground and has a pad lock on the man door and a gate lock poor thing but it gets my chickens he better run cause they are not just chickens they are pets and have names so I can't just buy more

Sara Sweatman in Coatesville breeds Anconas.

Sorry Stake. Had a fox take my Polish Cockerel yesterday. It's the worst feeling.

I swear they POSE for you!!!
I'll just leave this here...

Oh, and you may now refer to me as 'The Fox Wrangler'.
Oh NO MCC! 49? This is shocking. I sure hope you take Fisher up on her offer to mind your ducklings and that the funeral goes okay for you. Those poor children. I'm so sorry to hear this.

Her name is Liz Webb.

Blarney (AKA, FW) , GOOD JOB!!!, I tried to trap my fox(s) for months with both types of traps without success...finally realized I was just drawing him closer with the bait. Hope you put one behind his ear! And, sorry for your loss. That Toulbount (sp) Roo was quite a handsome dude...

@LeBlackbird Awesome pictures!

Glitch is an impressive boy, and love the name!

Thanks! My niece named him Glitch, he was supposed to be a lady

They gave him to me when we went south to visit because they had too many Roos and their older boys were picking on him (They had 3 other than him, 1 dark brahma, 1 light brahma, and a RIR). Just happened to be perfect timing as I was just getting over the loss of Artie, my buff ameraucana roo who was previously in my avatar.
I usually sell all of my moyer RSL from egg to egg, although I love their strain of birds. The hen in the newer pics with Glitch and my goose is probably Egg to Egg, just realized the other day that she's wearing egg to egg tags, that makes her 3+ years old. All of the other RSL pictured are Townline Isa Browns. Out of all of the strains of RSL I've had, I like these the most. They have the sweetest personality. Moyers birds do out-lay them every time I've raised them side by side though, but all of my Isa browns are from TSC, and everyone says TSC gets the "hatchery leftovers" (sometimes I believe the rumors, I got some pretty weird colored ones this year). Next year maybe I'll order directly from the hatchery and see if anything's different.

The 8-wk-olds have been coming out into the run as soon as I open the door for free range. They do not move ahead of the adults, but they do free range at the same time. A few minutes ago I shook the scratch can, and some of them actually came running towards me. So far, they have been afraid of me even tossing scratch into the coop. Today was actually shocking to me. Then again, they were probably watching the adults. Regardless, I'm happy!

Cute! I'm moving my 7-week-old chicks to their coop tonight. They will still have their heating pad on.
