Does anyone live near Butler, PA ? It's about a 5 hour drive from here, but I found someone there (via CL) that has "Fly-tie" chicks and eggs for sale. I hope they will have them available on an ongoing basis and I can figure out some way to get them from Butler rather than having them shipped all the way from south Georgia.

I'm about 45 min south of Butler.

Where are you located Anne? Are you transporting the whole setup with the birds or just the birds? I may be able to help, I don't have anything empty to quarantine them in though, they would have to be transported with their coop somehow

Happy Birthday!!!! Mine is on Monday   We should go feed store hopping and "window shop" :jumpy :jumpy

I am in western Bucks County, near Montgomery County. I am only able to transport the birds themselves. I am hoping to put my homemade coop up for free on Craigslist to get rid of it until we get our new place. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears. I have a couple months to think about what I can do.

Brownie will probably be thrilled when this bunch is old enough to cut loose, they are a real handful!

It looks like Bulter is only 2 hours away, at least the Butler near Wilkes Barre. Is there another?

It was in the Pittsburgh CL, so I assume the one north of Pittsburgh. Why do they allow duplicate city names anyway? Can't they enforce a bit of creativity?
And don't get me started on "Township Line Road" . . .

It might not be too far out of the way for me depending on which route I take to go east.. but my next trip home won't be until summer. We are going on a big family vacation at the end of May and driving straight to NC. I'm sure we'll go back home sometime in the summer, but I don't have anything planned as of now.

Any idea why this chick is not growing feathers??? It IS a meat chick so I realize their feather growth doesn't keep up with their body growth and they often have bald spots. But this chick is not feathering out at all compared to the rest of the same age meat chicks. They are nearly 4 weeks old and I'm gearing up to remove the MHP brooder but I don't want this featherless chick to get cold.
