I'm sorry I'm not closer, upper bucks county here. But if you have any questions, please ask away. We are all willing to help in any way. Lots of information here! :welcome

I lost 1 bird last night ate just the head off? My coop and pen are built together also wire covered i found a spot in between the coop and the wood frame for the pen possible entry about 2.5" wide? So many options. I thought a skunk but a lot i read was raccoon. Whatever it was found its way back out to. Fixed all available entry. HOPEFULLY!!

Definitely sounds like a raccoon. I've had that before. Sorry about that. Glad it only got one.

how bout that!? I don't really have a 'set night' but I happened to set tonight. About 90? I'm not sure. My egg holders didn't come yet, so I used egg cartons instead. The shelves tilt sooooo far, I'm scared that all of the eggs are going to roll right out and break.

They should be fine. I used egg cartons at first too :)

Here's what I did:

. ;)

Be on the lookout for another cabinet incubator. It takes a while to find a good deal.

There's one out towards Pitt For $150 right now but I can't yet. I gotta save everything we get this year for coop repairs and my brothers wedding in Oregon lol

Wow! You guys have sure been busy! Aurora, do you plan on selling them locally on Craigslist, or do you sell them to a local store to be resold?

I sell them locally on pennswoods, craigslist, and swaps though I am getting in good with the local feed store ;) Maybe later in the season they'd be interested.

@Dheltzel how are you advertising your welbars? I have a couple more weeks til I start collecting the eggs from mine but I want to try to get some preorders going. I'm just not sure how to word it lol

The tractor supply coupons are at the top of the home page big red banner say $10 off $50 or $5 off $25.

Thank ya! I did see those, but was looking for the 20%...

X2 on raccoon. One thing about having a raccoon as a predator, they aren't hard to catch in a live or Hav-A-Hart trap using tuna fish or canned cat food as bait. The only problem I've heard is if it is a very big raccoon (They come in all sizes) it may be able to get at the bait while its rear end holds the trap open so it cannot close and then it can back its way out after eating the bait. But I've heard of this only twice.
