Yay! Just put 5 Midget white eggs in the incubator. They should be fertile, the one that got dropped last week was. @Auroradream26. Any tips for incubating turkeys?

Anyone on here ever get anything from ideal? They left 430 yesterday and its saying they'll be here Fri. I know they could come tomorrow but wouldn't Fri be a little long of a trip?

That is quite a long time in the mail. I'd be worried about 5 small ducklings like that. I'm worried about my chicks traveling for 2 days, especially since it's getting so cold now.

And the stupid tracking says that they departed then arrived at the same facility yesterday. I know the tracking isn't normally helpful but still. They are in texas and apparently Ideal puts male day old chicks in as packing peanuts to help with heat. Hoping its a breed that we can use for meat. Probably some kinda sex link I'm guessing. Had tons of good reviews. I'm so nervous.

And I did it without hubbys help! Wish cups were big enough for ducks. Still figuring out set up for them.

Go down to Tractor Supply and get a bottle of Bovidr Labs poultry nutri-drench. give each chick one drop when they get there . then put a half of teaspoon in a quart of water for the next 3 or 4 days till they adjust to their new home . that will take care of the travel stress
