Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Chester County here! Just found out our borough's ordinance has been changed and we're hoping for a flock of six girls before summer starts!

Driving into work and seen this in front of our front door
400

Owners are out of town till Sunday so just something else I get to deal with. No one was hurt and only surface damage on building.

Time to play "ID that chick", LOL. I have a list of what was sent, but some are hard to tell apart. I definitely can tell the 2 Exchequer Leghorns (2 mottled chicks in the lower right) and the blue laced red wyandotte (grayish in center). Chipmunk striped ones are either Mille Fleur Leghorns or Norwegian Jaehorns, I think.
ohhh my. I would love this

I gave all of them the food for first time today older ones first, then new and a little bit to bantams. My total death count is
9 of 15 seven week olds
2 of 25 2 week old bantams
5 of 5 ducklings
7 of 8 roo chicks

As soon as 2 of the Bantams died I thought food. When everyone started dying I switched out all over their stuff, gave them the all flock I had on hand and some grit and locked the door. Took the 6 older ones that still were standing and did the same. Hedwig never got the chick starter and was locked in my room. Everyone that wouldn't stand up is dead. Not sure how the little roo survived but now I have him all alone and don't know what to do. Still have everyone split up and disinfecting everything. Might still loose one of the older ones but the others seem to be back to normal. What do I do with the little roo? Ideal is sending me the same order again next week if I want it. Will he be okay for a week or do I need to get a few chicks for him? I can't believe this happened. I miss my hubby.
i am so sorry

Long time reader, first time (or close to) poster checking in from Lehigh Valley (Allentown).  We have a small flock.  Previously we bought started pullets, this time we went with day old chicks that are now 4 weeks old.  Looking forward to getting them outdoors!
welcome, from poconos

Just got off phone with penn state. They are going to check birds and they want a couple pounds of food.

This is fantastic news! I would ask what they intend to charge and what they intend to do before they stepped foot on my property. Please. Protect yourself. You've been through enough. I'm sure they've told you this already, but keep one of the deceased chickens cold but not frozen.

Hey there!! Chesco here as well. Where are you? I'm in Newlin Twp., Coatesville close to both West Chester and Kennett.
