Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I really have no idea lol. There has to be royal palm in there. The only thing I can guess is the parents were royal palm hen and Bourbon buff tom. That's my best guess anyway unless somehow it was bourbon red hen and mottled black tom lol. No clue!

Can't wait to see! We're getting two Narragansett from a friend beginning of May, 3 blues in June and hopefully a couple palms!

Hi guys it's Karen again ,
okay now the cabinet incubator is at 100 degrees and holding at 40% humidity. we haven't put the eggs in yet.
Our hygrometer only majors in whole degrees .would it would it be better to put it at 99 or and a hundred.
thanks a lot ,appreciate your help! !Karen

100 should be fine. That's typically what I run at but do you have a couple thermometers? Never rely on just one. Did you still need a turner to borrow? (That was you right?) I have one right now that I'm not using. It's a yellow one made for the styrofoam bators.

Sure has the darker facial marking like the pullets usually get, but there is no 'die hard rule' on them...and usually there is one out of about 5 that just doesn't conform to normals. I hope it is a boy for you. Once I get the hens shuffled around I will get you another dozen eggs to see if it works out better. I want to send some out to Annie but not till hatch rate improves again.

She seems to have a very small comb but I'll watch and see and keep posting pictures. We'll see what happens :)

How about that, I didn't think any of your birds actually laid eggs....only brooded them.. :D

Hahaha!

Sounds like a nice group! I could've how'd you up with palms. That's pretty much all I was hatching for a while lol. Lately I've been getting very few though, only 1 last hatch.

So glad they are doing well. Quite the variety you have there. I'm not sure how much help I can be, but here are my EEs as chicks. The very light chick (top, middle) was of some interest to DHetzel, he wanted to know what she'd grow into.

This is French Fry the only EE that survived my chick massacre. My new little one are doing great and everyone has a different wing pattern coming in. I know it doesn't mean anything but I definitely learned the difference of large hatchery versus small one.
Been so busy lately! Being a crazy bird lady is hard work lol. My boss wants to know if I can bring a goat to work.. My boys are doing pretty good. Both have super bad dandruff so I thinm I need to get more minerals in them. Ford isn't as playful as Stetson and still pretty small. Stetson likes eating our sweat shirts.
