Arg. My midget white turkey hen didn't get into the coop tonight. I saw her around before, and she seemed like she was looking for her chicks, which is not unusual. I looked all over and couldn't find her. I doubt she will be there in the morning. The only good news is that I found someone with Midget whites within driving distance, before she went missing. RIP Wheezy... :hit
SORRY! No fun! Right now I'm just sick of losing birds. Best wishes. I hope she surprises you yet.

I thought it was as that's what the friend who is hatching out my others said but these said Friday. So not sure on differences of hatching etc. The others started today. I need to ask about our 'royalty' tomorrow. (We think they look like kings, queens, prince and princess with the silkie head:) ....)

I never looked at it like that! I guess they do look like little crowns :love

Is she home?? Our big white predator target never coops at night, she would rather roost on a fence, and there are times when we CAN NOT find her no matter what, but she always comes back! good luck, I hope yours comes back too, Im waiting to here if she does~

You were right! She showed up this morning. Who knows where she was or why. But so glad she hid well. Thanks for the encouragement. They are tough animals!

Two older chicks got out of the enclosure before dusk. I'm guessing they are gone for good :(. I looked and listened for 2 hours... no show this morning. The little rooster is calling for them but no answer.

I am sorry to hear... it is frustrating when you just can't find them. :hugs

Guys I have a problem and I'm trying not to freak out but I am. One of my GLW is dead. I found the body this morning. It looks like it's been pecked at and there's feathers all over the brooder. I don't know what to do right now because all I've heard is once they get the taste for chicken they're never the same. Help!
