Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

We would absolutely LOVE to have you -and anyone else who'd like to toast Tom and talk chickens. We don't have a time or place figured out yet.

I'm going to get in touch with Tom's family today to see if we can help place his chickens. If anyone here would like some of Tom's chickens, please PM me. From what I understand he's got one rooster and all the rest are hens. I can let you know more when I see what's there. He's got a 'cooler incubator' too, from what I remember.

I'll definitely send you a message since I'm closer. How many did he have?

I am glad they weren't deleted, and I don't see any reason they would have been anyway... I am not a fan of the new forum set up, uploading pictures isn't like it used to be and even if you upload pictures you can't post them in multiple threads by just going to recent pictures like you used to. Unfortunately I have found myself participating less and less due to the changes.
I find myself participating less for the same reason. I don't like to complain, and I have actually run a site with forums before (tropical fish club - not poultry related), so I understand the admins can only make so much happen.
New folks that join the site will adapt easier I think. I haven't put the time into understanding the new stuff so I just participate at a lesser level.

If you find no one else is able to take some of his birds, I surely can. Just let me know.

Turkeys haven't figured out how to go in at bed time. They do like the trees we used for the top of the pen for roosting. Hubby put a few up high for them too. A little barred rock wanted to get comfy with them but just caused problems. One of the turkeys played on the roof for a bit too lol.

I'm pretty sure this egg comes from one of my Red Stars. I think she decided since the two Welsummer/Wyandotte x aren't laying dark speckled eggs that she was going to. Any one else get eggs like this from Reds?
