Dude! Silkies are cool! I'm going to head back over tonight to pick up some more, since the ones I have aren't all silkies.
Patience. They will have new chicks next week. Or go to another feed store. They're ok but I'm into large fowl chickens, and my MIL had silkies and ruined them for me lol. I want americanas or wynadottes.
Hi all I'm in NY, little more than an hour from Erie PA. I'm willing to drive. Anyone got any blue egg layer hatching eggs? Not EE, I need true blue egg genetics.
Olive eggers might be fun too. Also interested in duck or goose eggs. Incubators warm, love to pick some up this weekend if I find anything interesting.
Thanks!
Hey you never know who'll have something. I'm willing to drive a couple hours, just depends which way.Sorry I can’t really help you. Fisherlady goes out that way, but probably not for a while. If you have time, you could get most anything.
If you want true Blue eggs, there's a couple breeds/combinations you can go with. @LeBlackbird and I are getting started with Purebred Ameraucanas, I'm doing just Black but Susan's doing a ton of different sizes and colors. If you want something similar to Ameraucanas, @dheltzel has a breeding project he's been working on called a "Super Blue Egger" which is basically a Blue egg laying Black Sex Link. It's a combination of Black Ameraucanas (Same line I have) and I want to say either a Welsummer or a Cream Legbar (He knows obviously, I only have one hen from him but she's amazing).Hi all I'm in NY, little more than an hour from Erie PA.
