Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I’m fortunate. A drop of rain makes the neighbors’ yard and drive flood. It’s one time I’m glad the house is on a hill.
Now I’m singing a Sunday School song in my head about the wiseman building his house on the rocks. :D

I am at the bottom of two hills :hit wet, wet, and more wet!

Spider-girl is happily sitting on a dozen eggs that I picked up from @dheltzel. It was a serious struggle not to come home with a dozen chicks. I need a farm!

In other news the local feed mill is selling Easter Egger chicks for $1.50. I asked the girl if she knew what breeds they used to make the EEs. Her reply “they came from out of the country.” Um no, no they didn’t. And if there was actually an “Easter Egger” breed that was imported the chicks would not be $1.50.

I need to finish my certification. I did the classroom part, I just need to do the field test. I just haven't been able to find time to do it!

The next class is in July, I wanna say the 22nd but I'm not entirely sure. Susan and I both are gonna be getting ours as soon as we can. I can't deal with this trying to find someone to come out and do my birds anymore ugh. I just hope I find someone soon.

Ugh. I hate people who think that Easter Eggers are some exotic chicken breed when literally all they are are Ameraucana Mixes 90% of the time. :smack

Here are the quail babies that hatched yesterday :) It's really neat thanks they stay close to me and come to me. The last ones I had were very wild and ran away as fast as they could!

right now with all the storms, we have half to three quarters of the neighbors driveway in our yard, free gravel
We made are own speed bump at the end of the drive to help divert water off the road. It helps but not when rain comes that hard. The worst is after they tar and chip the road. I’ve used the gravel at the gate of goat pen and in front of her hut.
It really needs a swale but the township refuses to do anything. Their solution is a curb. Sooo how will that stop the water into the drive way?!?!
