Did anyone put their hobby into the contest Sally is running?
I was thinking about throwing the hat into it ...:pop

Not yet, but going to put up our fishing addiction, it costs us enough to qualify as a 'hobby' since our 'free fish' would probably price out at about $30/lb! :th

Good thing we have so much fun doing it! And last 2 years we have been taking out disabled veterans when weather permits... about 22 trips with the military folks so far (2 at a time) and it has been incredible going out with these folks! Best investment of time and resources we have ever made!! Seeing their smiles and listening to their stories is a very humbling and rewarding experience.

Fishing is a great hobby!
Understand completely about the whole price -per-pound!!hahaha...Last year hubby bought me a licence, didn't get out once. This year was different, got very lucky. Was able to go out on short trips, real close. We are fortunate to have very good trout streams around here.
I took home the "out-fished you" trophy!! :yesss: Being able to help put food in the freezer is great.
Feels good cause Hubby is an incredible fisherman. I just got lucky..got some BIG ones too...will have to share some pics, got to
find them ...
You are awesome taking those folks out..it is real easy to become home bound...real easy.
You do get so much out of the experience too.:D
A little shared time can mean everything to someone else.:hugs

I don't have any particular "hobby."..,the way we live seems to include a bit of everything..haha..having trouble picking one thing.

I did, but no one liked what I said.

Well, you said things can happen that change you. The hamster was running around on the plate, so... 000BAC3A-7D0F-4278-9FD7-BDB61D26DA5D.gif
Okay, okay! I had actually only been looking for the hamster picture. I was letting her eat whenever it was that was still on my plate.
Jenny Lawson (blogger) has written a few hysterical books. Duckling was playing with her toys while I was reading. Jenny said something about eating cheese off a foot, and I laughed. Duckling asked what I was laughing at (it was a year ago, btw), and I asked her if she would let me eat cheese off of her foot. She giggled, and nodded. A moment later, there was the cheese. She ate it though.

I did for my hen/turkey saddles and other sewing projects
I have seen some pics of yours..you are really good at making those!! Even for turkeys!!
Everyone looks all dressed up..hahaha, That is awesome...I have a girl, well two, that molt heavy, like someone took the clippers to them.
Would something like the saddle be good for them to wear?...maybe to keep the chill off..
..most are finished with molt now, but sometimes there will be a "late bloomer" and it will be snowing and very nasty while she is trying to get through just about butt-naked or should say, "oven ready".:duc

Lol, thank you! Saddles might help a little bit with that. I usually make them with denim and fabric but I can make them with fleece too :) Fleece might be better against the cold .

Well, I found the pullet!
The dog was trying to follow a scent into the garage. The door is broken, and there’s enough room for a small cat. I figured it was nothing until we walked around to the side of the garage.

and a few feet away

I told those roosters to get into the coop! Not sad. Just too bad.
So, I went back to the front, and there were a few feathers by the door.
Searching for the rooster body, I found the pullet picked clean. I have some changes to make.
